Britain's most stressful driving spots put to the test..
Have you ever wondered which parts of the UK are the most stressful to navigate as a car driver?
This is the film for you then! AXA car insurance carried out a
live experiment recently with its very own 'Stig', David Dutton, to
drive through some of the most stressful driving spots in England,
Wales and Scotland to determine which ones really do get our heart
racing. Wearing a heart monitor and covering off over 700 miles,
David visited ten well known stressful driving spots in rush hour
with startling results. With an average heart rate of 83bpm,
David's heartbeat rocketed to 128bpm in Newcastle where he was
confronted with numerous lane changes, tail-gating, drivers cutting
up others and agitated motorists, making it the most stressful spot
of the week! Leeds was a walk in the park in comparison with a high
of just 90bmp!
